What trim levels are there?

The FE trim is the most basic with dual-zone climate control, selectable drive modes, automatic headlights, a 7-inch infotainment screen, Bluetooth, and a USB port. The LX builds off of the previous trim with a keyless ignition and entry, an underfloor storage tray for the rear cargo area, a rear center armrest that comes with cupholders, roof rails, and rear LED taillights. The next trim is the EX. The EX trim also builds off the previous trims with features like cloth and leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an extra USB charging port, power-folding and heated side mirrors, rear air-conditioning vents, heated front seats, and a blind-spot monitoring system. The Touring trim takes in everything previously listed and includes an Advanced Technology package as well. Finally, the Touring Graphite Edition comes with a special 8-inch touchscreen, a 10-way power driver's seat, navigation, and a Harman Kardon audio system.

What engines are available for the Niro?

The standard engine for every model is a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder 139 horsepower engine with a 1.56-kWh lithium-ion polymer battery. This engine provides 194 lb-ft of torque and has an excellent EPA fuel economy rating of 52/49 miles per gallon. This engine is paired with both front-wheel drive and six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A second engine option is available for the Niro as well. The 1.6-liter Atkinson cycle inline-4 has 104 horsepower and 109 lb-ft of torque, but with a 44.5-KW interior-permanent magnet synchronous motor it can add an additional 125 lb-ft of torque and 60 horsepower.

How safe is the Niro?

Niro is an incredibly safe vehicle with features like forward collision warning, smart cruise control, lane keep assist, an autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot detection with lane change assist, and rear cross traffic alert all come with the available driver assistance option. Standard features would include front seat-belt pre-tensioners, a brake assist system, a rollover sensor, Bluetooth with voice recognition, a front seat-belt reminder and buckle sensor, a hill-start assist control, a rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines, electronic stability control, LATCH, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and vehicle stability management.
